Anti-SIAH1 inhibitors to treat other neurodegenerative diseases

Anti-SIAH1 inhibitors have also been used to delay the symptoms of ALS mouse strain and prolong the life-span of ALS mouse strain. Therefore, through the neuroregenerative ability of anti-SIAH1 inhibitors, these compounds could be a powerful alternative to replace the present treatment of ALS patients.

Anti-SIAH1 inhibitors to treat cocaine addiction

Anti-SIAH1 inhibitors have been used to decrease the lever-pressing number of cocaine-addictive mice. Therefore, anti-SIAH1 inhibitors could be used to treat cocaine-addictive patients. Currently, there is no first line treatment for cocaine addiction. Under this scenario, anti-SIAH1 inhibitors can become the first line treatment for cocaine-addictive patients.
